Any value to stock 1972 400 tranny torque converter
When I had my 400 turbo tranny rebuilt, I put in a new torque converter. I saved the original one with 60,000 miles. I never ran it, since the car was apart when I bought it. The previous owner said the tranny had been gone through, so I assumed the torque converter was good. But, wanted everything new and rebuilt during my frame off resto. Is this older (1972) torque converter worth hanging onto or have any value?

You might want to hang onto it in case the new coverter develops problems and you need a spare (FWIW)

Just because it came along with a tranny that was rebuilt does not guarantee that it was flushed out of crap from whatever tranny failure may have taken place!

I can't even verify it was rebuilt from previous owner. He said it was gone through. Loose interpretation there. That's why I took it to get rebuilt. A co-worker who drag races and does mechanical work said get a new torque converter. So, I have this old torque converter of unknown condition. Sounds like it may just as well go in the scrap.

Donate it to a local trans shop unless they have turned it down also.
