While cleaning my sunvisors from my '69, I noticed that part of the stitching around the edges had separated.

After calling 3 automotive upholstery places, I got the same answer..

"Can't do it, we don't have the right machine, buy a set of repros."

The chrome is perfect, and the rubber bushings even fit great. I don't need reproductions!! Only about 3" of stitching is out, it's hard to think that a trained professional could not fix this.

Can anyone help? Or am I doomed to making PY a little bit wealthier?

Will that work on the vinyl? porous? Won't something like a hot glue gun work better?

I'd really rather get them stitched.. Can anyone recommend a good interior repair person? I'd even ship the visor to have it repaired..

Hey Doob...

Are those for a hardtop or a convertible?
I may have a set you can have if you want them.

Doob-
Shoot me an address and I'll mail these out. I beleive they are 69, but definitely for a hardtop- won't work on my convertible. Either way, you won't be out anything.
