Why is it people come on this forum, claim they have parts to sell, then when someone is interested in the parts the seller disappears and never answers the potential buyer. Another situation is that you run across a seller who is either parting out or selling a car whole, you ask him for a couple parts and he wont sell the parts but then only wants to sell you the whole car. I cant understand it. Are you afraid to make some money or did you just decided not to sell the item, but are too afraid to tell the buyer?

Some guys only answer emails,one guy i know is "TOYSWEDO"his name is Phil,he doesn't come here much and only checks his reg email address.He's a good guy to deal with.Some others i think are just fishing for a bite,they look for places where they think they can rip someone off,others post so many threads they forget.I get the same thing,ask about a part and then never get an answer.BUT i'm guilty of not answering some requests for parts,i just forget some times,or delete a PM by mistake.Then i go back to look in my posts and can't find the part request.The ones i don't like are the ones who just join to sell parts and only post parts for sale and never make any contributions to any tech forums.They are the user's,not givers.

Can you use any 73 Catalina parts,i bought it for the motor and posi rear.I have Many parts if you want them.i know you were looking for 72 stuff.i don't have room for all my stuff.

What I am looking for the is the bumper guards and a C-pillar panel. I'm pretty sure that there are parts from the 73 that'll fit since I've found '73 parts on my '72. BTW is the drivers door mirror remote or non-remote and what shaoe is the chrome in? if I can find one that isn't pitted or corroded, that would be super.

On the other hand, some buyers will come one here asking for parts, and don't respond to PM's or emails when you have what they're looking for. I especially like the people who "definitely want the part, will send payment" and you never hear back. I had someone on PY tell me that a few months ago, so I boxed up the part ready to ship and i'm still waiting on that payment. I have learned not to hold my breath waiting on a buyer

And worse yet you buy a part from a PY member and DONT get it!Im hoping our member is just on vacation or something important as im out close to $500 and have had no replys to emails or PMs.Tom
