Edelbrock AVS2 Carburetiors
Anyone try an Edelbrock AVS2 650 on a 400? What about trans kickdown?

I ran a Original AVS from a 383Mopar on my 389 back in 74 and it ran great, and since the car had a TB400 ( which most pre 1970 400s did) with its kick down switch on the gas pedal linkage in the passenger cabin there was no issue.
Only cars that run the super turbin 300 2 speed, or the TB350 will have the kick down cable on the Carb.

ST300 uses an electric kick-down, just as the TH400 does.
Many 1969 and later A, F and G vehicles using a TH350 has the throttle control cable to the accelerator pedal lever. If this isnīt doable iīm sure Edelbrock has a bracket to the intake for the cable and a stud for the cable on carb throttle lever. |
