Source of "PONTIAC" letters?
On the grille of Wangers' Bandit Suburban, I've lost a couple of the letters ("O" & "N"). Does anyone know what they are from?
They are .555" high, .210" thick, and the "T" is 1.000" wide.

Style and individual letters? I'm thinking 66 GTO.

I wonder if there are part numbers cast into the back side of the letters. You could look at one of the existing letters, and its it has a part number that could trace you back to what car they were originally used on. It does appear they're stuck on with tape or adhesive so it may be a pain to do.

As stuart said, many of those letters have part numbers on them. If you come to Norwalk next year, I would walk the swap meet with a couple of the letters you have left. I realize this could take allot of time, but there are literally hundreds and hundreds of those individual letters for sale every year. If you can't find the matching 2, you could probably replace the entire word with new letters and nobody would ever know. Now you have another reason to come next year!

Joe Barber in our car club specializes selling parts for early GTOS. I'll be at our Holiday Party Saturday night tomorrow. If you can get a number from the other letters I'll ask him.

Measured the T from a 66 Tempest (one piece instead of individual letters), and it's 1.5" wide. I'm going to change my vote to 67 Firebird.

Are they plastic or metal? It looks like adhesive was holding them on, was a mounting stud cut removed or is that the way they were made? If so I'm leaning toward a later model

Those dimensions match the OEM letters on my 70 Trans Am tail panel. The Firebird emblems/letters are stud mounted.

I have some old letters off of a 70 Firebird. I can see if I have the O and N. If I do you're more than welcome to them.

Thanks guys. These are glued to the Chevy grill- I'm afraid Jim wouldn't remember much about them. I don't know whether they had studs which were cut off. Dave Anderson might have done them originally for Jim. Dave doesn't post anymore- anybody see him these days?
Nice try Mike... to get me to commit to being at Norwalk '23.
