4 wheel drum manual to power
What is needed. I don’t mind the drums but sometimes you need to stand on the brake pedal. Just a booster? Different MC? Different rod from pedal to MC? Thanks

Its pretty cheap to go to discs and power these days with a kit. Ames has them.
At today's speeds and number of cars on the road, discs could be very handy to have.

With all drum manual if you are staying with all drum all you need is a brake booster, vacuum hose for the needed vacuum, new master cylinder lines to the distributing block on the frame. The old ones will be too short. It’s a different story if you will be going to front discs.

AFAIR the master cyl diameter is different with power brakes.

428goat has it correct.
For '68-72 Pontiac A-bodys AND '68-69 Firebirds, original 1" bore Morraine master cylinders were used on drum brake equipped cars, whether Manual drum or Power drum. Two manual drum '71 233 HO cars here. Have owned many dozen power drum 68-72 A-bodies. Original power brake boosters used on factory disc cars are different than same year bodystyle power drum boosters. Original application & date code is noted on the small tab where the front half of the booster twists & interlocks into the rear half.
