Driveline Noise When Turning
My '95 Formula has a noise, a metallic squeaking, that occurs when making left turns at lower speeds. I can't quite tell if it is coming from the front wheel or the rear area, but what might cause this?

Could be a hundred different things. Wheel bearing, brake rotor, axle bearing, the rack....

Well then, that doesn't narrow it down very much...guess I have to start poking around or replacing parts.

Hi Dave, try having somebody ride with you to listen. Alot safer than poking your head out the door to listen. Could be brakes, rear end?

I agree, I have had many brake pads do that when they just get to the squeeler. Going around corners changes the the caliper and rotor meet. That will make the squeek when turning and would be normal while driving straight.
