Engine Unit Number
While looking at some copies of Vintage Vehicle Services sheets I saw this on one sheet and never paid attention to it before, I guess.
The 'C478822' is the engine unit number (or motor unit number, engine serial number, etc). The 'C' should be a zero (0). Some time it got chipped and looked like a half circle or 'C'. (At least it was always assumed that way.) Now I am wondering how VVS has the 'C' on the eun when I assumed it was recorded as 0478822 on the Pontiac/Canada records. (like on some BHC's) Do they have a picture of the EUN and engine code (WS) or was it actually recorder in their documents as a 'C'? I am also assuming they (VVS) didn't have the actual engine there to record it for their records. (since the broken zero wasn't common knowledge until kind of recently)
