70 TA engine paint
Hello all. I have a couple questions about engine paint. First, it must be the correct color. What is the best match? Ames and Firebird Central have the Duplicolor rattle cans. The pictures on the FBC site look correct. Is there something better? Next, how many cans will it take? I'm having everything painted just like stock with the chrome valve covers. Thanks.

All I would use would be Bill Hirsch paints. They are a bit glossy initially but loose some of the gloss over time. Trick is to only put on light coats and not get it to thick where it would peel later. You will still get paint baking around the exhaust ports & Intake X-Over.

I don't know what's on my motor now but the color and finish look correct and it's holding up very well over the exhaust ports. My current motor does tend to run pretty cool though.
