Default NOS Judge stripes

Has anyone on here installed NOS 40 year old judge decals with success? Wondering if its worth the effort to pursue NOS or go with Pheonix after the car is painted? Since I've not installed new decals, let alone NOS ones, thought I'd see if its been done before...

The problem with decals that old is that sometimes the backing on the
top of the decals won't peel off after you apply the decal to the car. Try peeling up the
the backing on one of the decals.....if it will peel off you should be ok.

I would probably think they are more valuable left in the NOS boxes, if they don't work for some reason they'll be scrap.... I would install the repros and keep the NOS ones.

Found a very nice set of NOS R/Y/B stripes, so I bought them. Was told they've been inside a home for at least the last 30 years and the top tape peels off easily and is still tacky. We'll see how they go on

Good choice! Good luck!

I went with NOS stripes on GT-37 which were eyebrows too. Took an overnight with backing on to help the adhesive set better before peeling away to a solid stay.

BTW: There is a difference from NOS to repops as well.

I'd say the repros are of a thicker material, and not as reflective.

I've heard they're not as reflective, but did not know about the NOS being a bit thinner.
