Sorry but no they will not - nor will any other headers pre made for a different application - go to http://maddogheaders-us.webs.com/pontiac

If your headers look like these...

You will probably have 2 issues. The tube on the drivers side that runs from cylinder 5 back around cylinder 7 will hit the firewall. The next fiasco will be the rear lower control arm mount. Most off the shelf Pontiac headers for other body's seem to run right slam into it. I had a set of unknown headers that we ran for a little while that the passenger side fit like money. The drivers side however ran into the control arm. Our solution was to extend all 4 tubes downward so they would clear the control arm mount. It worked until I got my Maddogs.

Sorry to hijack your thread 6568gto but has anyone used the Headman shorty* headers with success in the G body cars, as in first hand knowledge and not a guess or speculation?
*currently only offered in d port for those that may not know of them

It runs in my mind that some one on the g-body forum did and had pictures years ago. I think he had to modify the collector flange to fit because it hit the frame rail. If I ever built a street only car, I would probably use long branch manifolds.

1st gen bird 3 tube ALMOST fits except wont clear rear lower control arm mount... 4 tube would be worse... long branch MAYBE but that control arm mount might still be an issue... RA4 style???

I think I read same as Mike on G-body forum about the collector issue on the shorty Hedman.

All tubes go down and out. None in the way of the spark plugs.

Your looking for D-Ports or Round Ports? Pontiacs and headers are not fun. G-Body Pontiacs and headers are the worst!

I got 4- tube in, to work eith a bunch of dents.

THEN got 3- tube headers, with the big center pipe, and they fit much better, but dtill a Pass a-arm dent to clear. It's them Lower A-arms.
