Default Lap Vent help needed

What size screw or bolt is used to attach the lap vents to the bottom of the dash on a 67 GTO?

black 1/4-20 x 3"... with a slotted hex-head. The thread end is tapered...looks a bit like a joint fastener bolt.

You mean the two crotch cooler vents attached to the bottom of the dash? Those are #10 sheetmetal screws, probably 2" long, with 5/16 hex heads. They are definitely not 1/4-20's... at least not the originals.

I think you're right. Got those mixed up with another part, and later model GTO's used a shorter 1/4-20 bolt for the same purpose. Thanks for the correction.

OK. Back to Lowes! I need to run a few errands anyway. Thanks for clearing that up.
