Default Frame assembly.

I got my frame and other parts back from sandblasting and paint on Monday. I got all the new bushings in the control arms except 1 that I übered up. Just thought I'd share some progress with my fellow pontiacers

By the way if anyone from WI or nearby needs some sandblasting, glass bead blasting, or plastic bead blasting done; I've got the guy for you!

I also have all the new fuel and brake lines ran as well as park brake cables.

Anyone have any tricks to getting the front coil springs in?

Looks good. Nothing like working on clean surfaces.

There should be plenty of posts about putting the threaded rod from the spring compressor through the upper shock hole in the frame.

It's almost like assembling a new car, for the most part I even have new nuts and bolts for almost everything.

I am having a difficult time finding good info on installing the front spring with no weight on the frame.

You need to use an internal spring compressor.

Then the knuckle holds the arms together while I put the shock in?

I saw a thread recently and they strapped the frame to the floor jack. Do a search on this, the Lobby or the Pontiac street section for a detailed discussion.

For the rears we used heavy duty straps wrapped around the frame and diff to compress the springs.

Once the springs are in the spindle will hold everything together
