Default 72 Grand Prix Question

Sorry, this might be a stupid question but, it wouldn't be my first one so... here goes. Does anyone have pictures or know where I can see a diagram on how the engine compartment of a 72 Grand Prix is layed out? I am trying to refurb one that I recently purchased. I knew it needed some work but I am finding that alot of stuff has been switched around or is missing. The latest is the reservoir fo the wiper washers. No reservoir, no tubing, no nozzles, and no ideas. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.

First - welcome aboard.

Don't have any '72 GP engine bay shots to share, but consider buying a '72 Service Manual, '72 Fisher Body Manual and even a Master Parts Catalog. All will be invaluable in restoring that engine bay properly.

Search e-bay, many original copies and re-prints on e-bay all the time.

Good luck!

Default Thank You

Thank you both. I had a 72 when I was 18 and loved it... right up until the night a 16 year old girl ran a red light and totaled it for me. I dont think I ever got over it. So, I really wanted to get this one back to as original as possible. Thanks again for the pics and info.

Unhappy

Don't feel too lonely - here are a couple of pics of my good friend's '71 GP - after his son back lost control on a very high speed curve and backed it up through a stand of LARGE pine trees!

Naw - just a re-badged Nordic Silver J, but with a potent high-compression 428 and a nice cam. WAS a really clean GP until this took place.

Kid managed to turn it around backwards rat-racing a Porsche on a twisty section of Memorial Drive through Memorial Park here in town. Dry concrete and no posi either.

Kid had not a scratch on him, but Houston PD ticketed him and the city sent Dad a bill for the trees he took out . . .
