Hello fellow GTO fans,

I need someone's help.

I would really like to have someone look at a 1970 GTO convertible I'm thinking of buying. The car is located in Pompton Plains, NJ which appears to be located fairly close to the NE corner of NJ, and also just west the Jersey City / Hackensack area.

The seller has offered to facilitate this and I was hoping someone could give me their honest opinion of the car and the condition. It does have some rust bubles, so that's what I'm really concerned about. I would also appreciate a detailed opinion of the glass, weatherstrips, soft trim, paint, etc.

I would be happy to pay for your time if necessary, so please let me know ASAP.

That's a little too far for me or I'd be glad to help. I'd try the closest GTO club to the area, that's usually a good resource.

Is it polar white by any chance? I sold a '70 vert that ended up in that area. I'd love to have it back, frankly.

Sorry to hijack a thread but along similar lines...I need to have my 72 LeMans appraised for insurance purposes. Can anyone recommend someone in central New Jersey (Flemington area) that can do that along with the necessary documentation?
