What are some good headers to use with edelbrock aluminum heads (72cc), where to get them, and about how much? I want to get a good set that fit right. i know my last set were a pain in the butt to get in using the stock heads
1967 GTO 455
Thanks
Quentin

Well.....not Hedman! Mine suck, to be frank. For a little more, I could have bought the IA headers which are nice!

Get the Indian Adventures headers, they fit like a glove.

I have headman now, and don't like them. They are the 3 tube design, and were ceramic coated. The coating did not last long at all. Where can I find some info on the IA header? The ram air IV headers match up to the edelbrock head right?

Dick (Indian Adventures) is on vacation. He'll be back in a week or so. Sit tight, he'll hook ya' up.

In my experience there is only one header to purchase. The headers will bolt on, fit good, not leak, and provide you with great performance. Doug's Headers in Anaheim, CA. Phone number is 714-502-0286. Fax at 714-502-0287. If Doug is not in ask for Paul.

I bolted on a set and picked up ET and MPH. I have a 1965 GTO.

Good luck and have fun.

Ron

A friend has some Dawson headers on his 64 and he said they were the best fit he ever had on a set.

I am with RON, I agree that dougs headers are the best out there. I just got done putting a set on, and I am very pleased with the fit, look, and ease of installation.

I got a set of hooker super competition headers, with 2" primaries, and 31/2" collectors, they wouldn't fit with the stock starter, so I upgraded to a high torque mini starter. After that there really was no problem fitting them in there.

Q's 67, We are organizing a group purchase for Doug's headers. Any Pontiac application qualifies.
Check the Performance parts for sale column for the specifics & Doug's web site.
E-mail me if you want in. We can save 15% on each set of headers if we get 10 sets. Currently we have three sets.

I'm about to buy a set of headers for my E-heads but even with a 15% discount, the IA headers are still cheaper! Are Doug Thorleys a better a header overall? Is jet coating included?

Also, whats the most durable header coating out there? thanx, chris

On my 72 Lemans with E-heads I bought the Hedman Hustler headers. They were no problem installing or hitting anything and they don't leak.
