Default 68 ram air I quadrajet

i was wondering if anyone knows what this carb is worth?
quadrajet carb# 7028276 1968 firebird 400 ram air I .
carb is in good working condition.

bernie,
hate to bust bubble but probably not much. this carb is extremely common since for some reason pontiac used it as a replacement carb for many applications for several years after 1968. now if you have the original date coded base plate with this carb and it is indeed dated pre april 1968, well then it might we worth a fair bit of cash.

To further elaborate on the post of ramair2, which is correct; the service carbs have the date code stamped on the bowl in the same area as the 7028276. Service dated carbs are worth less; but any ram air carb (even service units) are good carbs. This one, in my opinion, is the second most common (difficult to use the words common and ram air in the same sentence) of the ram air carburetors, following the service 7029270.

This unit is still a unit which may be used as a driver without the need of recalibration for the ram air cam; for local car shows; and for national car shows with a slight deduction in points.

im not using this carb & i didnt want to leave it sitting in a box in my garage if it was worth something to someone.i guess it will grow a beard for a while unless someone wants it?
(baseplate looks to have been replaced at sometime)
