Power Windows
'67 Sport Coupe,with power windows.
Drivers side window will not lower more than a quarter of the way with the motor bolted completely on. If I take two bolts out (like it has had for a long time) the window will go up and down. I would like to have bolted up like it should be. The regulator doesn't seem like it's bent. Anyone else have issues like this. Thanks

Window tracks out of adjustment leading to excessive binding when the motor is fully seated? I had the same issue on another car that someone had "fixed" when they replaced the motor in it. Re-did the alignment of the tracks and regulator and window went up and down just fine.

Nope, just loosen the bolts\nuts and work things around. The body service manual details how its done but once you've done a few they all tend to work the same. The track grease probably could stand to be done at the same time.

Like was mentioned unless your missing or have broken rollers no need to remove everything. It's pretty simple and common sense, start with window level about half way up. Then get your top height you can shut door loosen stops and roll it up to where it goes tighten stuff up. Now work on your tilt of the glass in and out. Couple of things window should hit top travel level not front or back first. If your having trouble getting just the back edge you can put a piece of wood behind the metal channel and tap it in or out. Make sure your door is adjusted good first sometimes a little movement of the striker works wonders. When done you should be able to shut the glass on a piece of paper and have it hold it with reasonable pressure.

A good cleaning and lube will do wonders.
