Default Fan Clutches

Thinking of swapping the original factory flex fan on my 78 to good heavy duty clutch fan, whats the consensus, thermal or non thermal? Any one having done this swapping have part numbers they used thanks?

Be sure that if you should need to space the new set up that the fan blades are half way in and half way out of the shroud, or as close to that as you can get.

This is how they move the most air and the most common mistake that leads to temperature issues.
Set up’s with a clutch are heavier then just the flex fan set up, so if your water pump bearing and seal is on the way south you will find out about that sooner.
