Default '71 Formula 455 HO Breakdown?

Does anyone know definitively how many M-22 455 HO Formulas were built in 1971?

Thanks OPH. Where did you find those numbers?

Regardless, they are fairly rare cars today. I know of 3, the red w/ black top recently restored, the CC vinyl top car in Ontario, and a Laurentian Green low option car. I can't think of any others out there, but I'm sure there are others.

Spread sheet of production numbers from believe, Fred S.
There are a few more out there, a few with AHRA @ NHRA racing history.

Mike,

Thanks for the link on Sean's '71 Formy. My first car I bought was a '70 Formula 400 (YS/3.07) that was a great driver. I always wanted to get another '70-'73 with the 455 HO or RAIII at the top of my "must find someday" list.

BTW: the breakdown isn't published for the 72 Formula 455 HO M-22 cars...fwiw

In 1971 they built 166 455 HO M22 Formula cars. Of the 166 manual trans Formula 455 HO's, seven of them (three built in Van Nuys, four built in Norwood) were 3 speed manuals.

The 1972 production for the Formula 455 HO was 276 units. I am not aware of a trans production break down for 72?

Speak for yourself Mike, I personally take great offense. There's no car as great as a '72 455 HO Formula....Well maybe a 1978 Y88 TA, or maybe a 1970 Hemi Cuda clone, or perhaps a 1991 NSX.....,

......but more seriously, I love the '71 Revere Silver car. and hope also that someday Brewster's car might emerge from the Great White North and make an appearance.

Then again, a Starlight Black '72 is pretty bitchin'...

Hey Bob! Miss seeing you and Dick(DickBob). You've never seen this one. Got it last February. Maybe we can talk you guys into coming out next spring or summer for a gathering. Hope all is well. That Hellcat is amazing.
