Default Rear Wheel bearing size delema

Hey Guys:
Took 2 axles to the machine shop for bearing/seal replacement, 67 GTO. Got them back and the OD of the bearings are TOO BIG!! For a 10 bolt rear, their book says RW507CR which has an OD of 2.748" by spec. The bore in my housing is 2.553" +/-. I have another rear end (67 GTO) at the gear shop and so I called down and had the guys measure the OD of the bearings on those axles. It was 2.556" which also sounds exactly what I need. I am assuming that the bearing ID is correct, as they were able press on the new (wrong) bearings. Also, the width of the wrong bearings seems correct also. The shop where my other rear is was unable to see what the bearing number was on those (crap!!). Anyone had this problem before? Does anyone have the correct bearing number for this situation?
Thanks.

You got me! The RW507CR fits over 550 Pontiac models. I can look back through my receipts but I am almost positive I used this bearing when I rebuilt the 8.2" rear in my car.

I lucked out and found my receipt from when I bought the rear wheel bearings for my car and they are RW507CR. What is the part number for the seal? Mine was 8594s. My rear end is a 67 8.2" 10 bolt and is original to the car.

I have managed to get info and a couple of numbers. A company called Ratech has a bearing #9193 which seems to be correct by dimensions. This bearing has a listed interchange # R1578E which is also the Bower part number. This bearing has an OD of 2.559" which is just what I need for my 67 8.2" BOP, 10 bolt rear end and it is listed as such on Ratech's website: http://www.ratechmfg.com/gmaxlebear.htm. Not cheap, but if it's correct, it's worth it to me. Hope I can find two around here tomorrow. Perhaps the RW507CR is for the 8.5" rear??

RW507CR is used for ALL 1964-1969 Pontiac 8.2" rear-ends.
1970-72 Pontiac 8.2" uses R1578CNNV (or A9).
