If I were looking for a project, I might be interested in this.

$4,000 is probably a little step, maybe not...

$4000 is just the starting bid, not buy it now. Virtually no discription of the car and no detailed pictures.
Love that body style but unless it was rust free or close too it I would pass. Also the rims are gross imo.

No need of any detailed pictures, that thing is rough.
Looks like it has been sitting in a field forty years.
Even if it had NOM engine/trans it would not be worth half the starting bid IMO.
Everything is shot except the body shell & glass. Who knows how solid the frame is?

Did someone rough in a big piece of sheet metal over the rusted trunk floor?
Looks like patches in the front floor pans also.

That front seat foam cushion looks like it was comfy for back in the day.

BTW the OP link doesn't work.

Cool car - would definitely be a good start to a project. The '60s definitely have a distinctive look.

I saw this on Craigslist the other night. Not bad but can't right off the top of my head remember what the asking price was there. Good luck.

Don't think numbers matching drivetrain would add any value to that piticular car, imo. If the body was rust free, and I am not talking about surface rust, it would certainty be worth $2000+. Would be nice to have a better discription and better photos.
That thing would be bad ass with a 571ci in it.

Yeah, I wasn't implying it had high petigree potential, just sayin the original motor would be more desireable than no motor.
I kinda like the patina. For me it would be fun to put in an econo-build junkyard engine, upgrade the brakes, and leave the rest as is. Then bracket race the hell out of it.

As it sits, I wouldn't give over 1 grand for it though.
