Default Fiberglass bumper

My 72 Ventura is in need of some weight reduction so I woild like to start at the front of the car and need to know if anyone makes a front glass bumper for a 72 Ventura. My bumper weighs over 30 lbs so it really need to go but the car is ugly without it.
Thanks Steve

Have you checked VFN ? They make good stuff. Also will a Nova bumper work ?
My son made a glass bumper for our Catalina, turned out pretty nice. But it's a lot of work.

Thank you for the compliment. Considering how much my son and I beat on it the Catalina has held up well.

That is a good price on that GlassTeck piece. We have about that much [if not more] in just materials to make a Cat bumper.

A quick look at the VFN site did not show a bumper for your application, but then I know they don't update their on line catalog so they may have something. I've used VFN a couple of times and found their products to be very good.

Thanks for all the help and I will make some calls on Monday. As far as SmithRacecraft,I race on a budget and have 2 cars to operate and have to get to and from the races so no way i can afford their parts....Hell i still run the drum brakes on my car and i have ran the same 455 engine since 94 that had a total of 3000.dollars in it, although it ran the best of 10.43 @ 128. My steel heads cracked and started to leak water last year so that is why I had to spend the money on KRE heads from SD.

FWIW: The bumpers offered are for a 73, they will work on 71/72, the only difference is the opening in the bumpers was a little different (73 was larger).

Thanks, both Glasstek and VFN told me their bumper was based off of a 73 bumper.VFN was 8 weeks away and Glasstek said Id have it in 2 weeks so I went with Glasstek.I will update with a pic when the bumper arrives and I install it.They both told me the bumper weighs 4 lbs.

I got some catching up to do to my wifes car as far as wheelstands go. lol Here is her Dart. I'm looking for that first rearwheel 60 foot time slip. My wife has 1 time slip with a rear wheel 330 foot time. lol Although this track did not have any 330 clocks she still went past the 330 point in this photo and pulled the shifter twice with the wheels up.. I have some video on Youtube of her 3 gear wheelstand in car

I used glasstek bumpers and was very pleased with quality of there fiberglass bumpers. I used there fiberglass bumpers to replace my bent and rusted bumpers.

I received my Glasstek bumper on Thursday and it is awesome. Very light yet very rigid.
Stock bumper weighed 27.6 lbs without brackets and the glass bumper weighes 4.25 lbs.
