Time difference with elevation change
So what kind of a ET difference would there typically be when running at 4300 feet in elevation then going to sea level? Thanks

1967 GTO, 467 roller motor, e heads ported, tremec T56 magnum 6 speed and 9" done. EZ EFI 2.0 with FAST dual sync distributor and separate nitrous system done. Track is at 4300 ft elevation. so far a best of 11.95@116. Suspension now getting dialed in...tubular front a arms with dual adjustable coil overs HR Parts n stuff rear bar and whole car lowered 3 inches.. |

From the Wallace Racing site 11.95/116 at 4300 equates to 11.51/120.44 at sea level.

You got that right!
Depends a lot on how much you can compensate. For instance, a power-adder engine could be tuned to totally compensate. And- for a fast machine the thin air creates less aero drag.

Your very basic question references an elevation change only. My very basic answer will assume similar atmospheric conditions at the two elevations, thus meaning the elevation change will result in a similar change in Density Altitude (DA). My experience has shown about a tenth of a second ET change for every 1000’ in DA change. A 4K change will require a tune-up (jet) change as well. So, if you were to rejet, you will pick up about four tenths.
