Does the color of this depend on the interior color ? or should it be the same as the body.

What are these holes for? The manual shows some type of gasket, but I dont think there is anything between there and and the endura bumper.

1st pic, the plastic surround piece will have to be carefully removed off a '70-72 A-body or GrandPrix parts car. Relatively easy to do on a nice warm day on a yard car with a broken winshield. These black plastic pieces do turn gray with ton of sun exposure. Not sure about '70 Tempests & T-7's, but most '71 T-37's did not use them. '71 Asm manual states they were not to be used on the 233 series line.
2nd & 3rd pics... the rear window channel area & the front dash metal area fom the dashpad to recesses of the windshield channel are zero degree gloss. If car has a black interior or parchment, this will be zero degree gloss black. Could also be red, blue, green, tan (gold) depending on the color of your interior. The reason for the zero degree gloss was to keep there from being reflections in bright sunlight that could possibly blind the driver. 4th pic. The hole in the flanged stamped steel piece does not mount up to anything. It was neccessary in manufacturing the fender. Looks like you are making some serious progress

Darrell, There are two of those things on ebay right now. They are listed as vin tag trim & vin tag cover. The ones I've seen on cars, are the same color as the metal top of the dash that they attach to. My GTO has one that is black but I've seen them in other colors. Glen

Its a work in progress, we are priming the roof tommorow. I POR 15 the trunk, inner rear 1/4's and did the inside floor today. I got a patch of POR in my hair about the size of a baseball round. Ohh well I will just wear a hat till it comes out.
OPH i went to the parts store to buy some dust covers for my front rotors (those things that cover the nut with the cotter pin). I was really pissed when the ones they had were stamped with huge letters "made in china" right in the front. Normally I wouldnt care, but it aint going on American Muscle. Any ideas? Does PY sell them? I cant find them in the catalog. Thanks Darrell ET 13.2 and spinning like a mother

Darrell,
The reason for the quick response as no one likes fingerpointing. We all try to quickly get out of the way then someone points the finger. But at least we know fromt he last shot that we're # 1. Seriously, keep the good work up. It looks like it will never be finished but it will. OPH, My T-37 did not have the plastic surround pc. That is what happens when you try to save a buck. Mine is even rusty. Windshield has to come out so will be an easy fix. Read the manual too. To all. An investment in an assembly manual is an invaluable tool. I realize that you cannot get them for all cars but if you are doing a full blown or partial restoration I would strongly suggest investing in one. Cheap insurance when you don't remember how something went together. Just my .02. JLP
