When we first ran 16's on my wife's lowered '72 we had 225/50/16's on the front and 245/50/16's on the rear. The next set of tires were 215/55/16's on the front and 255/55/16's on the rear.
I wasn't running 3rd gen wheels, but IIRC those that did put the fronts on the rear and the rears on the front for proper fitment on a second gen.

Stock, these came with 225-70-15's which are 27.4" tall. Am I missing something?
Currently on my 76, the previous owner put 215-70-15's, which are horrible and look undersized. This is why I am going through the upgrade.
