Danica attempted to take out Gilliland
INTENTIONALLY - not once but twice. If she would have been successful, it would have taken Gilliland out of the race and caused him to finish much worse than the 24th that he did (Danica did take her self out and finished 40th).
So incompetence in the art of taking a driver out is rewarded with allowing the Princess to race the next two weekends while Kenseth is parked.
Of course, Brian's own words say that the mere attempt is enough to cross the line.
