Non AC '70 GTO should have 5 blade factory flex fan. Factory AC, then engine receieved the std clutch controlled fan. Typically, the correct stock 7 blade clutch fan will cool better than the same model factory five blade flex fan. Have experienced this on two no AC 4spd cars, one a '70 GTO with 3.55 rear gear, the other a 4spd 78 T/A with 3.42's. Both had modest upgraded 400's.
