Dennis,

I'm not sure how old those tires were. He bought the car about six years ago and the tires were on it when he got the car.

My father -in-law passed away last Thanksgiving and left his 1970 El Camino to my wife. It's an original paint car in very nice condition. I went through the car in 2006, at which time I installed a new set of BFG Radial TA's on it. The car only has about 2500 miles on the tires, but they're 15 years old now, so I guess they're ticking time bombs and I'll need to replace them immediately.
