One test session isn't as good as 2-3-4 sessions to get an idea of your current combinations consistent ability...

Hey thanks, yes for sure about test sessions. One good session can show that the 60 foot is down and what the convertor slip is with the UCC. But yes it takes many to fully dial in a combo. Sometimes I look back on my old engine combo with the OF cam and 290 heads..it basically picked up 10mph and a full second over a few years..with the same heads/cam/intake/headers/convertor.
With the current head/cam package I know of 2 other combos that the owners also have the "I can always go faster mindset". One is a local guy with a 69 Trans Am street car/nostalgia racer he has gone 10.794/125.92 in cool weather and another is Lee M. on here that has gone 10.2 at 130 with 60's in the low 1.4' 60 foots its a light car. We end up bouncing ideas off each other now and then so its nice to have a group of guys tuning the same combo..they have both gained tenths over the last year or 2 since I've been stuck going backwards lol.
Also having Dave Bisschop behind the head/cam package is great he is always eager to hear .."Dave it went faster"..and his usual reply is there is more in it.
