Yes absolutely. But for now sticking with the th350's, I have quite a bit of money invested into this transmission...it still works well but is slightly hurt. It has the low 275 gear set, and works perfectly as far as shifting and 2 and third gears. At this time I don't want to order a new driveshaft or put a different crossmember on. I'm also dealing with one of the better transmission shops in Ontario .That being said I do have 2 th400's in the shop that can be used in the future.
If I was to do any of the "drag and drive" events that may be the time I would switch over to a th400 to have that ultimate durability. On the other hand I have never totally hurt a th350 to the point of where the car was undriveable. Only a slight mechanical issue for the 2 that I have hurt in the last 20 years hampering et's by a few tenths.
