Yes, the power potential with injection over carbs is too impressive to not try to take advantage of it.
I thought the same thing on LS of the cam but that is what my engine builder got as a recommendation from Comp...I figured it should have been at least 114.
That blown up engine lasted a long time. I changed the oil in it and found a main cap dowel pin on the magnetic drain plug. I pulled the engine and found where it came from and pulled the cap and reinstalled it. Nothing looked out of place so I buttoned it up and I decided to take it for a rip down the Highway...it got just into high gear when it let go...even more impressive is it lunched the converter, broke the trans bellhousing, and took out the ring gear in the rear!
