yes bolsters are injection molded, most upholstery shops can get them in bulk sizes & cut to whats needed to repair or custom make seats. there are at least a couple companies that offer recaro parts for sale, i cant find the link i had to one of them but this is another company in the UK that many people use for foam & other parts for recaros. lots of guys on other forums for 3rd gen, 79 mustang & VW cars with these seats have used them. not sure if they have every part for every seat though. google also has lots of links to other forums where guys restore these seats.

based on the pics of your recaros the side bolsters look as big or bigger/more puffed out than the procar side bolsters & much bigger than the factory style recaros & being they are in sections with loose fabric just looks kinda off to me. but i agree, to each their own.
