No, there are different frames used. The 'Elite' seats certainly are not the same frame.

Funny this came back up, I just sold my recaros! Couple reasons, finding covers for them is not easy, and having some made is flat expensive, since there are so many pieces. Each individual item on the seat has a different cover, and it has 10 pieces/covers.

I had extra covers I sourced in the early 90s, but they were also dark brown, and wanted to go black. The material is not 'cloth', it's a type of flame resistant material that's a hybrid, more like rayon, (plastic), and you can't use a regular 'cloth' dye on them. You have to use an interior panel dye, like SEM.

So I was looking at different seats, and wanted vinyl, to match better with the rear covers. I was in a toss up on the Procar Elite and the Corbeau GTS II.

This is a pic on the vendor's website. It looks like crap. And that's the pic they use on their' site, to promote the seat. It's like a pic of a Big Mac on the menu board, it never looks that good.
