Back to the topic of deleting the crossover (either H-pipe or X-pipe) in the pursuit of sound, the Engine Masters show revealed that having a crossover absolutely produces more power across most of the rev range (idle to ~5k, IIRC). I'd be pretty hard pressed to take the H-pipe out if you already have one installed. I'd just get rowdier mufflers and keep the H-pipe if you want it to be more aggressive.
