Well this took a hot minute, but finally the engine is out. Cam and lifters look good exept for 1 lifter that is totaly destroyed.
It is so bad that the lifter is mushromed at the bottom and can not be pulled out of the lifterbore from the top, The lobe is also wiped out.
I had been running a pretty high closed spring pressure for a flat tappet 140 Lbs closed. guess it finally caught up with me after 8 years.
Tomorrow begins the teardown , and measuring for new pushrods. so i can get them on order and on their way over the atlantic.
