Monitor boost to backpressure too. Positive delta(boost higher than backpressure) good negative not so good. Strive for 1:1 or better. Not easy many never get there, but if power isnt what you feel it should be for the boost its the first place to look unless you have other obvious problem. Once its right(at some point you decide you got all you got) you probably wont look at it directly.
