Last thing you need is a pin that deformed and locked up the rod/piston in the bore.
Parts tend to exit quickly when that happens. Typically you would never run a light pin
(example a 140 gram pin like the Dodge boys used to run) in a high HP (Boosted deal.
Those were really .984" diameter so you opened up the pistons and the rods by .002"
difference in the wall thickness. .980 plus .002 per side got you the .984 diameter.

Buy the best pins you can afford.
