Humor this please:

if the car didn't have it's original drivetrain, how can you say it's the stock aircleaner?

If you don't know what to look for, the air cleaner is easy to get wrong - and then the air cleaner hits the hood.

I have understood that all aftermarket intakes sit a bit high, some more than others;
Some people insist on running different carbs with adapters, then once again, the air cleaner hits the hood...
I say that to iluustrate how often this seems to happen.
Pictures might help too.
