there's nothing wrong with a revival.
if the revived thread is so bad, why did you post in the first place ?
this entire hobby, is about revival...and nostalgia. so it's only fitting.
why are we reviving Pontiacs, when they went out of business in 2010 ?
the cars are older than this thread, no ?
so cars can be revived, but not threads? that's called progress.
books are revised too, as technology, politics, society changes.
practice what you preach, dude. you're talking out of both sides of your mouth here.
if we only did the latest greatest thing, there would be no PY forum, at all.
the piston engine isn't exactly cutting edge technology anymore.
most aircraft stopped using it for the most part, around 1950-1960.
do did tanks- they use turbines.
what's a 747 Boeing have on it ? or an Abrams tank ?
gee I'm not the one who revived that old P51 Mustang.
we love it, but we have to admit...we're dealing with antiques here now.
not walk around starry eyed, living in the past...
we're like the old Flatheads Forever crowd...just a later generation.
my gut tells me, our time is short. the writing is on the wall.
watch what happens after the election,
with the price of gas. no cheap gas, no hobby.
I'm not the one complaining about the age of anything. Just pointing out the facts to those that don't seem to like it.
I could talk about this stuff all day long. Technology peaked for me about 1975 so anything old is okay in my book. Your talking to a guy that daily drives 50 year old classics with carbs and points
