Can't remember running across the wide & narrow outer vent frame deal. Have before sent pairs of outer vent frames off to be restored /revaccum metalized & painted but they always were out of the same original dash. I believe the vent bezel sizes different from L to R. Either will work from what I read. So some cars might have 2 narrow bezels.....while others have 2 wide bezels or a mix of both.
I guess until they are side by side 95% of us would never notice.
