1973 455 engine, std/std "N" crank, Crower rods, TRW forged pistons, zero decked
KRE 85 cc "D" port heads, unported, other than gasket matched to a stock Felpro intake gasket
Custom "RAIV" hydraulic roller cam, 230/242/112
Modified factory iron or RPM intake (run about the same)
1977 Pontiac Q-jet from a 350 engine, recalibrated
Stock HEI distributor with a Mallory rev limiting module and positive stop added to the advance mechanism
Hedman headers, 3" head pipes with "H", Flowmaster mufflers, stock 2.5" tailipipes
TH400 with 10" Continental converter
8.5 rear, 3.42 gears, Mosier axles, Eaton carrier, tubes welded
3" custom driveshaft, 1350 joints, forged yokes
Stock rims with MT Drag Radials
Race weight 3760
The engine made 514hp on KRE's dyno, and 574 torque with over 550ft lbs availabe from 3500rpms to 5000rpm's
60' times 1.61-1.64
7.20-7.40 1/8 mile times right at 95mph
11.50-11.70 1/4 mile times at 116-118mph, shifting at 5000rpms
The car is daily driven, and raced on 89 octane fuel.....Cliff

73 Ventura, SOLD 455, 3740lbs, 11.30's at 120mph, 1977 Pontiac Q-jet, HO intake, HEI, 10" converter, 3.42 gears, DOT's, 7.20's at 96mph and still WAY under the roll bar rule. Best ET to date 7.18 at 97MPH (1/8th mile),
