From what I understand the date code is the Julian week
I think the Fisher Body Stamping plant location is part of it too.
For my Fremont (Z) first week of May build I have dates ranging from 15 to 18 on most of the components

Style number represents the base model style such as 2327 Z 16 for my 68 GTO doors and vent window 2327 Z 15
