I have both, I love both platforms. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar the LS is hard to beat. I have built a few 5.3s and 6.0s that I threw decent cams in, coupled with some headers and a good intake they absolutely move out. Super cheap when compared to a comparable Pontiac build.
Right now I'm in the planning/parts shopping stages of a 455 build. The cost is astronomical compared to the LSs.
