gto4evr, I thought that might be the case. I have plenty of seam sealer in various forms. My conundrum was that I had to use a pick to get the stuff off the screw and the door. It was hard!
But I guess after 50 years (looked like the latches had never been removed) it will probably get hard. LOL
Thanks guys. I'll just take a little seam sealer and put it in the door indentations.
