Of course, 79 is the year. 12B means it was built the 2nd week of December (1978).
The 15's mean the color was Platinum Poly (Silver). L and U just means Lower and Upper body.
I know from your VIN that you listed in your first post that it was built in Van Nuys (LA). So, the W means it was painted with Waterborne paint, as Van Nuys cars were in 79.
The N appears to be incomplete. Since you said it has white interior, it must be 12N. The 12 indicates Oyster white, and the N means it had Deluxe vinyl interior.
A51 means buckets seats, which they all had.
The meaning of the rest of the numbers is unknown.
