Here's a little story for you....When I got married, I bought my wife a pair of diamond earrings for her as a wedding present - in return, she gave me permission to buy my first GTO.
We were married for 11 years.
My current GF & I have been together for 10 years now and like Gary above, not once have I asked for permission to do anything. Also like Gary, I spoil here rotten & she does the same with me.
