Default Help with Z-bar to block 71 T37

Hey Guys just getting the drivetrain into my 71 T-37 resto project.

It was originalyl a 6 cyl car, then someone converted it to sbc/th350. I just installed a 400/m22 combo.

I am not familiar with the z-bar setup, i purchased everything i need and i can get it to function and feels good, and returns nice. My only issue, is the bolt that goes into the block that holds the z-bar swivel.

I think the tq setting for this bolt was 30 + lbs. If i tighten this bolt that much, theres no way this will smoothly swing, the back of the z bar will just grind against the block face. Are there suppose to be shims? or some kind of thing that helps this move freely. It moves real nice as it is, but wont take long for the bolt to vibrate loose. Please look at this video at 8:27 of the issue im talking about https://youtu.be/1q9gJ1HLfkU?t=8m26s

Still trying to learn! thanks guys.
Cheers, Sam.
