My fluid just stayed in the leg and it was really swollen for a couple of weeks. The doc used sutures on me, and I had more of a problem of the incision itching. It has been two months and 10 days, and I'm to the point of not thinking about the hip and doing things that I probably shouldn't be doing yet - like carrying a cast iron head across the garage over to my workbench today. I did get away with it though.
