I thought I read that the clips are there so they can be rebuilt?

I could understand having the rebuild function if they were used for racing applications, like solid rollers in extreme conditions. Why would you want to rebuild hydraulic rollers that I think would mostly be used in street applications.............?

Sounds like another case of planned obsolescence..........
